Sun ‘N Fun 2012 - “20 Years with over 500 Aircraft Flying” - Searey is excited to be celebrating its 20th anniversary in aviation this year. From its beginning in November 1992, to the introduction of its LSX model in January 2009, and now anticipating the certification to become a significant manufacturer in the LSA market exactly 20 years from the date of the first flight of the Searey, is an incredible achievement for one of the most recognized companies in the light sport amphibian market.
“This is a huge milestone, and a very exciting time for both our company and the LSA community, to be able to announce the certification of the Searey LSA during our 20th anniversary celebration.” enthusiastically states Kerry Richter, President and Chief Designer.
Recognized as one of the most respected names in the light sport amphibian market, with nearly 600 aircrafts kits sold, there is a certain level of enthusiasm in the Searey headquarters about the potential growth over the next few years with the LSA certification and the expectation of becoming a significant manufacturer in the LSA market, by offering LSA production aircraft as well as continued sales of our LSX aircraft kits
To enhance and share in our 20 year celebration of the Searey aircraft, we are proud to announce that on Thursday, March 29th at 10:00 am., we will have a mass fly-by of Searey aircrafts over the Lakeland Airport from the many members of our distinguished Searey community. Then shortly afterwards, the group of Searey aircrafts will join in with other Seaplanes to perform a scheduled fly-over of Sun ‘N fun at 10:30 am, followed by a mass departure to Lake Agnes for the afternoon seaplane festivities.
Come and enjoy this short demonstration of our aircraft, and spend some time at our booths to view the design and quality of this aircraft. We will also have a large video screen displaying all of the flight characteristics of the Searey as well as the versatility of this Amphibian aircraft.
Searey will have on display several of its aircraft for an opportunity to get an up close look at the newest improvements of the Searey LSX, which is the latest design expected to receive certification later this year for production. It is anticipated that Searey will begin production of the New Certified SLSA immediately after receiving its certification, with projected delivery times to be 2 - 3 months after production commences.
