Concorde's batteries were put to the test by Aviation Consumer, an independent publication that reports unbiased results on product performance. This year's evaluation included head to head tests comparing Concorde's sealed lead acid recombinant gas (RG) technology to traditional flooded lead acid batteries. The article includes results from a "General Aviation Community" survey with user opinions of sealed and flooded lead acid battery performance in the field (Aviation Consumer, August 2011, Aircraft Batteries: Concorde Still Excels).
Concorde once again outperformed the competition and survey results showed that Concorde batteries are now in the majority of General Aviation aircraft, a representation of Concorde’s proven reliability.
