SCAPPOOSE, Ore. — A new 22,000 square-foot hangar at Oregon Aero’s Scappose headquarters will accommodate the aerospace company’s growing Seat Department and FAA-approved Repair Station for seating and aircraft interior upgrade services. The new hangar will be the third building at Oregon Aero headquarters at Scappoose Industrial Airpark.
“This project offers tangible benefits to our customers and employees,” said Tony Erickson, Oregon Aero Chief Operating Officer. “The expansion will significantly enhance our ability to serve our customers and partners through more efficient and productive seat cushion upgrade work flow.”
Oregon Aero supplies maximum-comfort seating and complete aircraft interior upgrades to aircraft manufacturers, after-market aviation providers and the public. A wide range of fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft will be accommodated in the spacious new hangar. The company anticipates the expansion also may create the opportunity to hire additional employees.
The Port of St. Helens will construct the hangar and Oregon Aero will lease the facility from the Port. Groundbreaking is anticipated to take place in several weeks. Groundbreaking and projected completion dates will be announced soon.
