Blue Thunder II, a contender at Reno in Sport and SuperSport Classes, world record-holder, and Reno Top Qualifier, was flown with fellow Thnder Mustang contender, Miss Picabo, to Airventure Oshkosh 2012 by owner/builder/pilot John Parker, with a new sponsor added to her nose: Crawl Magazine.

Why is an extreme off-road publication sponsoring an air racer? "Well, I am off road," Parker, a two-time Formula 1 air race champion, said. "They know that a lot of what works under extreme conditions in the air is the same stuff that works under extreme conditions on the ground. Besides, we can introduce people to CRAWL at aviation events, who would not otherwise know about it."
